IN a significant development for the ambitious Semmozhi Poonga in Coimbatore, the state government has released a fund of ₹39 crore for the ongoing construction.
Located at Gandhipuram, the Semmozhi Poonga is being developed on a sprawling 45-acre land at a total estimated cost of ₹167.25 crore. The project is being carried out by the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC). As per the project framework, the state government is required to contribute ₹83.5 crore, which is 50% of the total cost. However, until now, only ₹6 crore had been di
