Response to alliance question a departure from his earlier 'firm' stance
The evasive response of AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Tuesday about the possibility of an alliance with the BJP and calling the DMK as AIADMK's only political adversary has given room for speculations as to whether Palaniswami wishes to keep all options open for alliance including with the BJP for facing 2026 Assembly elections.
When asked about rumors of AIADMK being in alliance talks with the BJP, he did not give a straight answer but said AIADMK aims to defeat the DMK without getting the votes split in the elections.
