COIMBATORE South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan accused the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) of delaying permission for the reconstruction of 11 anganwadi centres, which are in poor condition and pose a threat to children's safety. "We are sourcing funds for the entire project through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) under the constituency's development works schedule. Even after receiving permission from the district collector, corporation officials continue to delay issuing necessary permissions," Vanathi told TNIE.
