COIMBATORE forest range staff set up a cage to trap wild boars frequently entering residential areas and camping along Rajavaikkal in PN Pudur near Vadavalli on Saturday.

- EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @ Coimbatore

The group of animals was allegedly disturbing evening walkers and children playing in the street. The staff fixed a cage after pressure from the CPI that they would protest against the forest department on July 15.

The residents said the animals were found in Mumma Naicker Extension, Iswarya Nagar, Pon Nagar, and Ponnusamy Nagar under Ward 41 of the Coimbatore city corporation limit in PN Pudur.
