RESEARCHERS have found that calcium and pH play a crucial role in the progress and collapse of cancer cells.
When ovarian cancer spreads, it often happens through floating clusters of cells called 'spheroids', which drift through the abdominal cavity. To understand how these structures emerge and influence cancer spread, researchers from the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) undertook detailed studies.
