Minor rape: Assam suspect taken to crime scene

The Tiruvallur district police on Saturday identified the suspect in the abduction and rape of a 10-year-old girl near Gummidipoondi as Kale Bishwakarma alias Raju Biswakarma (35), a native of Tinsukia in Assam.
He has been remanded in judicial custody.
Following the arrest, Bishwakarma was taken to the Arambakkam police station, the scene of crime, and later for a medical examination. Personnel drawn from Kancheepuram, and Tiruvallur range were deployed to nab the suspect.
