1% stocks drive 95% global mkt rally in '26

THE rally in AI-focused stocks has ensured that only 1% of the top 10,000 stocks are driving nearly the entire global equity rally so far this year, cornering a whopping 95% of the total gains, according to an analysis by a private brokerage.
The analysis by domestic brokerage Yes Securities comes a day after the tiny island nation Taiwan became the fifth largest capital market in terms of market capitalisation, pushing India down to the sixth slot. The Taiwanese index rose 61.8% so far this year to $4.95 trillion, while the domestic market is down close to 7%.
