AN objectionable slogan allegedly raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a Congress rally in the national capital on Sunday sparked a sharp political row on Monday, triggering protests in the Rajya Sabha and drawing strong condemnation from senior Union ministers.

The ruling side demanded an unconditional apology from the Congress, including from party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
