9 Arrested in Raids on Ganja and Gambling

BELAGAVI police arrested nine individuals involved in illegal activities, including ganja sale, consumption, gambling, and matka betting in separate incidents across the city on July 15.
In the first case, Tilakwadi police station apprehended Pritam Vijay Kolakar, a resident of Sadashivanagar, Belagavi, originally from Dandeli. He was caught near Sai Colony, Angol, in possession of 1.147 kg of ganja valued at Rs 30,000, a mobile phone worth Rs 40,000, a number-plateless scooter worth Rs 20,000, Rs 1,370 in cash, and various narcotic substances. A case was registered under the NDPS Act.
