Tata Motors Witnesses 63% Fall in Net Profit Over Low Sales in June Quarter

AUTO major Tata Motors on Friday reported a 63% fall in consolidated net profit to ₹4,003 crore in June quarter, impacted by volume decline across segments, drop in JLR profits and high base effect due to gain from sale of discontinued operations.
It had posted a consolidated net profit of ₹10,587 crore in April-June quarter of the previous fiscal. During the quarter, total revenue from operations stood at ₹1,04,407 crore against ₹1,07,102 crore in the year-ago period. PB Balaji, Group CFO of Tata Motors, said despite stiff macro headwinds
