SVU Will Introduce QT and AI Special Courses This Year: V-C

Announces a Faculty Development Programme in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad to train teachers for integration of the new subjects

SRI Venkateswara University (SVU) in Tirupati is poised to introduce Quantum Technology (QT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its academic curriculum starting from the 2025-26 academic year, In-charge SVU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ch Appa Rao announced in an exclusive interview with TNIE.

Elaborating on the university's academic restructuring, Prof. Ch Appa Rao emphasized its aim to equip students with enhanced skills for improved employability upon completing their undergraduate and postgraduate courses. "We are planning to first upgrade the faculty in teaching the QT and AI syllabus to students. With the support of the AP Higher Education Department and IIT Hyderabad, a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) will be implemented shortly to facilitate learning and integration of these new technologies into teaching," Apparao said.
