BAJAJ AUTO, which has claimed that its Chetak brand of electric scooters has become market leader with 27% of the pie, is planning to extend its EV range to some of its bikes, a senior company official has said.

- ENS ECONOMIC BUREAU @ Pune

Following the change in market trends and the runaway success it clinched with its bikes, Bajaj Auto in early 2000 discontinued its iconic scooter brand Chetak. With the industry moving electric it relaunched the iconic brand in EV space in October 2019 and since then sold over 3 lakh units.
