Tier-2, 3 cities hold 20% of flexi IT/ITeS staff

WITH increasing local talent and cost-effective business models, the country's tier-2 and tier-3 cities are witnessing growth in flexi IT/ITeS hiring as these cities alone comprise about 20% of the flexi workforce.
Currently, IT/ITeS flexi workforce in India stands at 7% (about 3,90,000) of the total 58 lakh professionals in the sector. It is projected that this will more than double to 9 lakh by 2030, growing at a 15% CAGR.
