DAMPENING expectations that she will announce her party’s roadmap for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Thursday kept her speech restricted to some regular notes while attacking the BJP during her address on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, the biggest annual event of the party, in Kolkata.

Mamata attacked the Union government on several issues, ranging from overthrowing elected state governments and unemployment in the country to price hike, all of which she has raised on several occasions in the recent past.
