Short Order Before Final Judgment for AIFF Case

Supreme Court on Monday gave the order involving the Master Right Agreement (MRA) between the AIFF that will pave the way for hosting the Indian Super League (ISL).
Justices P.S. Narasimha and Jyotimalya Bagchi of the Supreme Court, during the hearing, said that the bench would pass a short order on the urgent issue and then pass a verdict regarding the constitution. The bench also said that the constitution is ready but because of the Sports Governance Bill 2025 that is on the verge of becoming an Act, they are pronouncing it. However, if the order is passed, it will only last until the Act comes into force. As of now, an interim body is running the league.
On Monday, the bench heard all stakeholders before pronouncing the final judgment on the Federation’s draft constitution.
