SC asks Centre to amend disability law to include victims forced to have acid

THE Supreme Court, on Thursday, termed the accused in acidattack-related crimes as “threat to the society, civilians and even rule of law” and said that they needed to be curtailed with stringent measures.
The bench suggested to the Centre to consider amending the definition of a disabled person to include even those victims who suffer internal injuries caused by forced intake of acid.
