Pradhan steps in to meet Bihar girl's doc dream

Pradhan talked to Khushboo over phone on Sunday after watching her tale of woes that went viral on social media on the Women's Day on March 8. "It was unbelievable for a poor girl like me to hear from the union education minister. He was so polite that I could not believe that the man on the other side was the union minister," a delighted Khushboo said.

It was more surprising when he promised to get her admitted to the college of her choice in science stream, which she wanted to pursue but could not do so due to economic condition of her family. Her father, Upendra Rai, a milkman, had expressed his inability to afford the expenses incurred on her studies as a student of Biology. So she got admission in Arts stream at a Danapur-based college.
