THE seventh round of talks between farmers' leaders and the Centre remained inconclusive on Wednesday. Farmers' leaders reiterated their demand for a legal guarantee on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all crops. The next round is slated for May 4.
The talks were held between Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi and 28 members of the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) in Chandigarh.
