MEA seeks extradition of Arsh Dalla from Canada

Nijjar aide, who was arrested, to appear before Ontario court for bail
INDIA has urged Canada to extradite proclaimed offender Arsh Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla following reports of his arrest on November 10. A case against him is listed for hearing in an Ontario court.
"In view of the recent arrest, our agencies will be following up on an extradition request, given Dalla's criminal record in India and his involvement in similar illegal activities in Canada. It is expected that he will be extradited or deported to face justice in India," said spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs Randhir Jaiswal on Thursday.
