PRIME Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reaffirmed his government's commitment to farmers. Marking the 11th anniversary of the flagship 'Kisan Samman' scheme, Modi assured the farming community that the Centre's welfare efforts would continue with renewed dedication.
"It's our privilege to serve our hardworking farmers. Over the past 11 years, our various initiatives have boosted farmers' prosperity while transforming the agriculture sector. By focusing on critical issues like soil health and irrigation, we've delivered significant benefits. Our commitment to farmer welfare will only intensify moving forward," the PM said.
He highlighted key initiatives, including PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and Kisan Fasal Bima. He noted that farmers who previously needed loans for basic requirements now benefit from annual cash assistance and loan insurance schemes.
