Juvenile Justice Board cancels bail for minor in Pune Porsche crash

AMID uproar over the May 19 accident, in which a Porsche car driven by a drunk 17-yearold boy killing two people in Pune, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on Wednesday cancelled the minor's bail and sent him to a rehabilitation home till June 5.

The accident had sparked outrage on social media, while a war of words ensued between the BJP and Opposition leaders over the minor getting immediate bail in the case.

Meanwhile, the court on Wednesday granted two-day custody of the teenager's father to the police, while the police had originally sought seven days.

Police argued before the Juvenile Justice Board in favour of the remand of the minor, on the grounds that he is not safe outside as people will possibly attack him.
