Investigators dig university founder’s past in MP

ONGOING probe by the police into the November 10 Delhi blast has now reached the communally sensitive Mhow town of Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district.
Investigators from Delhi are in constant touch with the local police to enquire about Al Falah University’s founder chairman Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui, who hails from Kayastha Mohalla of the town. A senior officer of Madhya Pradesh police confirmed this development to this newspaper on Thursday.
A multi-storied building in Kayastha Mohalla once housed the big family of cleric Shahar Qazi Mohd Hamid Siddiqui. Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui is the elder of Mohd Hamid Siddiqui’s two sons from his first wife. Unconfirmed sources claim that Mohd Hamid had more than two wives.
