INDIA allies break ice, date for next meet to be fixed soon

THE members of the Opposition bloc, Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), seems to have buried the hatchet as parleys are in progress to finalise a convenient date to hold the meeting of the coalition partners as per the availability of top leaders.

The Congress called off the Wednesday meeting, which was apparently scheduled without consultation with coalition partners. Instead, parliamentary party leaders of the alliance members held a meeting at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday evening. However, leaders of Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Shiv Sena-Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (SS-UBT) were not present.

Kharge and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi chaired the meeting, Congress whip in Rajya Sabha Syed Naseer Hussain told media persons after the meeting.
