Heavy rain in coastal & interior districts of TN

THE Indian Meteorological Department on Tuesday said a low pressure area has formed over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Adaman & Nicobar Islands and it would intensify into a depression and deep depression off Andhra Pradesh coast by November 16.

In Chennai, Deputy Director General of the Regional Meteorological Centre S Balachandran said coastal districts and some interior districts would continue to receive heavy rainfall over the next two days.
Official data shows Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam weather stations in Chennai received around 5cm of rainfall till 8pm on Tuesday.
