ILMMAKER Francis Lawrence, known for The Hunger Games franchise, is directing a feature adaptation of Stephen King's first-written novel, The Long Walk, for Lionsgate.

At CinemaCon yesterday, the distributor announced the film's theatrical release date-September 12. The cast includes Cooper Hoffman, Garrett Wareing, David Jonsson, Charlie Plummer, Mark Hamill, and Judy Greer amongst others.
