Fencing, infiltration top agenda for India-Bangla border talks on Feb 16-19

INDIA and Bangladesh will hold a four-day Director General level talks beginning February 16, with several issues including fencing and rise in infiltration attempts to be discussed, officials said on Sunday.
The delegation-level meeting led by Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) from the Indian side and chief of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on the other side is taking place for the first time after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, 2024, they said, noting that such a deliberation was postponed twice earlier.
The meeting will be held between February 16 and 19 as part of the 55th edition of these biannual talks, and the agenda has been worked upon, officials said.
