Cong renominees Singhvi for elections

THE Congress on Thursday named six nominees to the Rajya Sabha, including Abhishek Singhvi and Phulo Devi Netam, two of its sitting MPs, from Telangana and Chhattisgarh respectively for the upcoming biennial elections to be held on March 16.
From Haryana, the party has nominated Karamvir Singh Boudh, who belongs to the Scheduled Caste community. While Boudh is not a well known face, sources said that the party has weighed in the social justice factor in choosing him. The party also nominated Anurag Sharma from Himachal Pradesh, which came as a surprise for many. Though the names of former Union minister Anand Sharma and Pratibha Singh were doing the rounds, sources said that the name of
