AP tourism dept to introduce water sports and houseboats on Godavari

ANDHRA PRADESH tourism department will soon launch houseboat tourism and water sports on the Godavari River, providing visitors with overnight Kerala-style boat experiences, officials said.
Currently, tourists can only enjoy 30-minute boat rides. East Godavari tourism officer Venkatachalam said government plans to introduce houseboats and water sports at three locations along the eastern stretch of the river: Pushakara Ghat and Saraswati Ghat in Rajamahendravaram, and Goshpada Kshetram in Kovvur.
