'AAP chief insulted Lord Ram with Ramayan remark'

A political storm erupted on Tuesday following AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal's recent remarks about Ravana, with the BJP accusing him of "insulting" Lord Ram and Sita, and misinterpreting the Ramayan.
Kejriwal, in turn, accused the BJP of defending Ravana and exhibiting "demonic tendencies."
The controversy began on Monday during a public address in East Delhi, where Kejriwal recounted the Ramayan story of Ravana using a golden deer to abduct Sita. "Lord Ram was in exile for 14 years. One day, he went to the forest for food, leaving Mata Sita in a hut with Laxman for protection. Ravana, disguised as a golden deer, lured Sita, leading to her abduction," Kejriwal said.
