A 50-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh reportedly died when the tent at the famous Lord Hanuman shrine, Bageshwar Dham, collapsed in heavy rains and blustery winds in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh on early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred around 7.30 am when devotees took shelter under the tent to escape the rain in Garha village, located 28 km from the district headquarters. Bamitha police station in-charge Ashutosh Shroti told reporters. The mishap, which also resulted in injuries to seven other devotees, mainly from outside MP, including UP and Rajasthan, happened when preparations were underway for the Friday birthday celebrations of the Hindu Rashtra supporter, religious preacher and Peethadhishwar Dhirendra
