DURBAN City climbed to third on the Betway Premiership log after a hard-fought comeback win over Magesi at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday night.
KwaZulu-Natal side turned a halftime deficit into victory thanks to second-half strikes from Samkelo Maseko, Saziso Magawana, and Letsie Koapeng.
The win was another statement of intent from Gavin Hunt's side, who continue to combine resilience with attacking flair.
Despite falling behind in the first half, Durban City regrouped at the break and imposed themselves on the game in the second period, controlling possession and creating multiple chances.
“I thought we played with good energy, attitude as well as tenacity and speed, but we went a goal down and that gave them a boost,’ Hunt said.
