SATURDAY is the first weekend of July and that means it’s time for “Africa’s Greatest Horse Racing and Social Event” - and for glamour and glory to unite at the 129th running of the Hollywoodbets Durban July.

Durban’s annual society extravaganza will see tens of thousands of fans at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse to see the thoroughbreds thrill, while the couture dazzles.
The action jumps out of the starting gates at 11:45am when the first race begins the on-course action. From then, it will be non-stop highlights as the 12-race programme is interspersed with fashion and entertainment until long after the final race at 7:40pm.
For the punters, the day reaches a peak at 4pm when Race 7, the Hollywoodbets Durban July, sees 18 runners competing over 2 200m for the greatest prize in South African horse racing.
