Frustrated families of 15 murder victims still waiting for justice

KWAZULU-NATAL families that have been waiting for justice for their loved ones who were brutally murdered have expressed anger and frustration over the four-year delay in the cases.
The accused Sbonelo "Madanon" Wiseman Shangase, 32, and Thalente Mkhize, 36, have been charged with 15 murders, armed robbery, attempted murder, kidnapping, and multiple violations of the Firearms Control Act.
The families of the victims specifically blames Shangase for the delay. The trial, scheduled to proceed in July, was postponed because Shangase's former lawyer, Sithembiso Nkatha, failed to appear to represent his client.
The matter was back in court on Friday for new trial dates to be set.
The relatives, who asked to remain anonymous due to an attempt on the lives of relatives set to testify, are furious that the case cannot move forward.
