Wissa missed Cup chances due to pressure of playing for Magpies - Wright

United forward Yoane Wissa would have scored the gilt-edged chance he missed in the Carabao Cup semifinal defeat to Manchester City if he was still playing for Brentford.That was the frank verdict of former Arsenal and England forward Ian Wright, who feels the pressure of playing for Newcastle in a semifinal at St James' Park took its toll on the 29-year-old forward. The Magpies were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semifinal and have a huge mountain to climb to overturn the deficit in the second leg away from home next month.

But Wissa spurned a golden opportunity to give Newcastle the lead inside the first five minutes of the match - a miss which could have changed the trajectory of the tie.
