Van driver killed in crash

A van driver has died after a crash in County Durham.

Police were called to reports of a collision between a van and an HGV on the A690 near Brancepeth at around 11.15am on Tuesday.
The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
