NEWCASTLE United have reportedly set Benjamin Sesko a 48-hour deadline to decide whether he wants to move to St James’ Park this summer.

- By STUART JAMIESON

The Magpies are keen to sign the Slovenian striker and although they have yet to agree a fee with RB Leipzig, they are expected to meet the Bundesliga club's demands once they know Sesko is ready to commit.

Newcastle face strong competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United, with the player apparently open to joining both clubs, according to reports in Germany.

He is said to have told teammates that he will be leaving Leipzig this summer and was left out of the squad for their friendly game with Atalanta last weekend.
