Trip to zoo rated one of top things to do with kids

A VISIT to the North East home of more than 100 species of animals, ranging from tiny harvest mice to striking snow leopards, has been rated among the best things to do with kids.

Northumberland Zoo, which is celebrating its 10th birthday year, is well-known locally but its name is clearly spreading far beyond the region too.

The animal attractions at the zoo, which as recently reported includes one of the world's largest and rarest fruit bat babies, have proved a huge hit with visitors who have left glowing reviews on Trip Advisor.
