SANDRO Tonali has launched a defence of Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe amid some criticism of recent performances, grading the Magpies boss as a ‘10 out of 10’ manager.

Newcastle currently sit 14th in the Premier League table and are yet to win a league game away from home this season following their disappointing 3-1 reverse at Brentford.

Howe has plenty of credit in the bank given the unparalleled achievements of his first four years as Newcastle boss, but there could be some legitimate questions to answer if the league form does not turn quickly.
