Tekmar secures £4m offshore wind project
The Journal
|February 14, 2026
SUBSEA cable protection specialist Tekmar has been awarded a £4m offshore wind project.
The County Durham business says it will supply its 10th Generation Cable Protection Systems and other equipment to an unnamed, large European offshore wind farm.
Investors were told the deal is with an established customer and will see Tekmar use its engineering and design expertise.
Delivery of the systems is scheduled for next year with revenue expected to come across the firm’s 2026 and 2027 financial years. Tekmar said the work follows more than 12,000 systems protecting more than two-thirds of the world’s installed offshore wind capacity.
