Renewed calls for upgrades to notorious roundabout

COUNCILLORS in Cramlington have once again urged the Government to commit to long-awaited upgrades for the notorious Moor Farm roundabout following an accident.
A crash on Halloween at the roundabout on the A19 that caused major delays was the latest in a long line of issues at the junction.
Figures from Northumbria Police showed that there have been 14 accidents at or close to the roundabout since the start of 2020, alongside 10 at nearby Seaton Burn roundabout. The Government has faced calls to complete upgrades on the two roundabouts for several years, with concerns raised over long delays.
