NEWCASTLE nursery cooperative has secured a top award.

Childrensplay Claremont Nursery Co-operative in Newcastle has won the prestigious Nursery World title
Childsplay Claremont Nursery Cooperative won the prestigious Nursery World Nursery of the year award. Judge Helen Moylett described it as “a unique and special place”.
Situated on Claremont Road, Childsplay is a nonprofit cooperative with staff and parents all having a say in the running of the organisation. It is also a research informed provider, working with Newcastle and Northumbria universities.
Founded in 1982, it is typically described as having a family feel.
Their Early Years Educators are experts in education and passionate about their practice, which is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy that centres child-led enquiry and discovery to learn about the world.
