No pain, no gain, as Knight admits 'everybody hurts...'

COMEBACK king Seneca Knight has revealed no amount of pain was going to prevent him from playing a key role in Newcastle Eagles’ post-season push.
-
The men in black take a seven-point advantage to Manchester tonight as a mouthwatering playoff quarter-final reaches its conclusion.
And after Knight announced his return to action with a huge double double in Friday's first leg, the US star is determined to do more.
“It's been super frustrating on the sidelines,” said Newcastle's summer recruit. “But we've got a good team and everybody's stepped up
“I just wanted to come out on Friday, fit back in and play my part.”
Knight did just that after adding ten rebounds to his 12 points in just 22 minutes as the Eagles closed out a hard fought 78-71 win against Herman Mandole's men.
And although he's continuing to manage a painful knock, the versatile import was never going to miss out on playoff hoops.
“I've got a bone bruise, bruised soft tissue and sprained soft tissue and I’m still dealing with it a bit,” added Knight. “But it’s the playoffs.
“Everybody's hurt but everybody wants to win, and at this time of year it's win or go home.
“I just took the injury day by day and I wish I could have got back sooner.
“But you don’t want to miss the playoffs and I’m here now.”
