Mum 'felt sick' as son's killer has sentence cut

IT has been less than a year since a grieving mum saw her son’s killer jailed for causing the death of two teenage boys.
But now Lisa Mavin has learned that the man who claimed her 15-year-old son’s life has won an appeal to have his prison sentence reduced.
"It feels like a massive kick in the stomach", said Lisa who travelled from Blyth to London to attend the Court of Appeal hearing this month.
"I just couldn't believe it. I felt sick."
Corey was one of two young people killed after 41-year-old Garry Robinson got behind the wheel of his Suzuki Vitara on December 22, 2023, while high on cocaine.
