Lit-up landmarks hail starring role

BIOHAZARD symbols have lit up a series of North East attractions, with the likes of Newcastle Castle, Penshaw Monument, and Tynemouth Priory illuminated in red.

For fans of a certain film franchise the sign will be very familiar.

The mark of the “Rage” virus, the illuminations come ahead of the world premiere of '28 Years Later'.

The third film in Danny Boyle’s zombie trilogy, its filming saw stars Jodie Comer, Aaron-Taylor Johnson and Ralph Fiennes descend on Northumberland; with filming at Holy Island, the woods around Plankey Mill Farm and Blaeberry Hill in Rothbury.
