JUBILANT Niall Huggins expressed his delight at making his return to action for Sunderland on Saturday
The 24-year-old defender featured for the first 45 minutes in the 4-0 win at South Shields and described the outing as the “perfect” reintroduction following a knee injury he sustained against Coventry City in December 2023.
Speaking to safc.com, Huggins said: “I feel good, it was the right introduction for me, it was perfect for what I need right now.
“It’s been a really good first week, and I've been looking forward to the game. This week's been tough, but it’s nice to finish with the win.
