Have your say over bid to revamp lakeside park
The Journal
|September 03, 2025
NORTH Tyneside Council has invited the public to have its say on the future of Killingworth Lakeside Park.
Several public drop-in sessions are taking place this month after the improvement plans for the outside space were revealed.
The Our North Tyneside Voice website has artists’ impressions of what the area could look like, a detailed map of the proposed plans, and a survey on the potential improvements.
Public drop-in information sessions will take place on the following dates: ‘Thursday, September 11 - 3pm-4.30pm; Monday, September 22 - 3pm-4.30pm; Saturday, September 27 - llam-Ipm.
‘The council aims to create attractive places to live, new opportunities for work and business, and inspiring spaces to play and visit. The plans follow consultation events in summer 2024 when residents, visitors and community groups were asked what improvements they wanted to see in the park.
