AFTER a series of strokes, for Northumberland armed forces veteran Stephen Baker's support dog Bailey is now a “protector” who helps him every day - and could save his life.
Stephen, 63, who served in the Coldstream Guards, and even as one of the troops protecting Buckingham Palace, has been through a range of frightening health issues.
He was injured multiple times while in the army, and following this became “plagued” by health issues. He has been through two major strokes and a number of “mini” strokes ~ and wife Angela says he is lucky to be alive.
