ENJOY THE TRUE COLOURS OF E-BOOKS FOR LESS

It took a while for Amazon to get round to making a Kindle with a colour screen, and when it finally did, it was not without issues.

Some users reckoned there was a slight yellow band across the screen. I never saw this but Amazon has since fixed that problem.

A bigger issue, really, was the price - at £269.99, it was more expensive than many of its closest rivals - Kobo's Clara Colour, for example, not only spells 'colour' correctly but also costs £149.99.

Amazon has fixed that issue, too - well, sort of. The last iteration of the Colorsoft, which I've been testing for a week, has dropped the price by exactly £30. Not nothing, but not an awful lot either. There's still no option to get a cheaper ad-supported version, either.
