EDDIE Howe admitted losing points late in games has been costly for Newcastle this season after Cristian Romero's stoppage-time goal earned Tottenham a 2-2 draw.

Bruno Guimaraes fired the Magpies ahead in the 71st minute at St James' Park before Romero levelled with a diving header.
Anthony Gordon's penalty restored the hosts’ lead, but skipper Romero came to Tottenham's rescue with an overhead kick in the fifth minute of stoppage-time, which saw the ball float through the box and trickle into the bottom corner.
Newcastle had been looking to secure a third straight Premier League win following recent victories over Manchester City and Everton and Howe was left frustrated following the late concession.
