Big man ready to make his mark for the Eagles

NEWCASTLE Eagles have made 6ft 9in centre Brett Reed their latest signing for their 2025/26 Super League Basketball (SLB) roster.
Head coach Marc Steutel’s new big man with inside presence actually played at the Vertu Arena for Spartak Pleven in the European North Basketball League (ENBL) back in October last year.
“Brett is a high-motor-skilled big, who will make a great impression with our fans at Vertu Arena’, said Steutel.
“He has consistently been a rebounding force and can leave his mark on the game in many ways.
“Brett is at a point in his career where we believe he can play his best basketball and impact winning, and I am delighted he will do that in an Eagles jersey.
“We can’t wait to welcome him for preseason as we start to build towards our goals both domestically and in European competition.”
